The operational framework governing the Ordvel Mall ecosystem built for transparency, speed, and absolute quality.
1. Introduction & Platform Role
Unlike traditional marketplaces, Ordvel operates as a vertically integrated ecosystem. Our role extends beyond a mere facilitator; we act as a logistics provider, a quality assurance intermediary, and a secure storage partner. This model guarantees that every item you see on Ordvel has been physically verified before it reaches your doorstep.
While Ordvel does not manufacture the products listed, we take full responsibility for the ecosystem's integrity from the moment a seller creates a digital draft to the final delivery to your address.
2. The Negotiation Ecosystem
Ordvel features a proprietary, tier-based bargaining engine designed to make commerce interactive while protecting the commercial viability for our sellers. This system is dynamic and governed by sophisticated logic:
The Commitment Protocol
To ensure serious intent and prevent platform abuse, accepting a negotiated price requires a commitment of 10 loyalty coins. Once an offer is accepted by both the AI (or seller) and the buyer, the price becomes binding for the checkout process.
AI-Assisted Bargaining: Where enabled, our AI Assistant evaluates buyer offers against historical data, "Lowest Price" thresholds set by sellers, and previous successful negotiations. This ensures a fair market price is reached instantly without manual intervention.
3. Seller Onboarding & Hub Model
Ordvel Mall is not an "open-list" platform. Every seller undergoes a multi-tier Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process, including government-issued ID checks and physical location verification.
The Centralized Hub Model: Ordvel operates on a specialized warehousing logic. Unlike other platforms where sellers ship directly to you, Ordvel is the sole logistics provider. This means sellers must move their inventory to an Ordvel Warehouse where it is stored in a temperature-controlled, secure environment.
This centralized storage is what enables our hyper-fast order processing. When you place an order, the item is already in our hands, ready to be dispatched within minutes of your payment confirmation.
4. Product Pipeline & Physical QA
The transition from a digital listing to a live product is rigorous. We call this the "Physical Validation Loop":
Digital Draft
Sellers create listings with AI-optimized titles and descriptions.
Physical QA Phase
The seller physically sends the product to an Ordvel Hub for inspection.
Verification Check
QA experts compare the physical item against the digital SKU and description.
Publication
Only items that pass physical QA and are moved into the warehouse are set to 'ACTIVE'.
If a product fails our physical QA (e.g., incorrect specifications, damaged packaging), it is rejected and returned to the seller. We do not compromise on the physical reality of the goods we deliver.
5. Exclusive Logistics & Zones
To maintain absolute control over the customer experience, Ordvel handles 100% of deliveries. Sellers are strictly prohibited from delivering items independently.
Our system uses advanced Zone-Based Logic to calculate delivery fees and estimated arrival times. These calculations are performed in real-time based on the item's current warehouse location and your specific delivery coordinates. While we strive for exact timelines, they remain estimates driven by local logistics conditions.
6. Orders, Payments & Commission
Ordvel supports multi-channel payment flows to ensure convenience and security across regions:
- Ordvel Pay (Wallet): Secure, instant funds held within the Ordvel ecosystem.
- Third-Party Processors: Integration with Paystack for card and bank-based transactions.
- Cash on Delivery (COD): strictly restricted based on the user's verified location and proximity to relevant delivery zones. COD is a privilege, not a guarantee.
Commission Logic: Our platform commission is deducted per item at the point of checkout. This ensures that the seller's net payout is clearly defined as soon as the order is fulfilled.
7. Refunds, Returns & Accountability
Refunds are granted in specific scenarios where our standards have not been met: if a product is damaged, does not match the verified description, or fails to be delivered within reasonable parameters.
Condition for Return Requests:
- Requests must be filed within 48 hours of delivery.
- Unboxing video evidence is mandatory for high-value electronics and luxury goods.
- Decisions are final and based on our internal QA records and delivery logs.
8. Ordvel Pay (Wallet Terms)
Ordvel Pay is an internal wallet system designed to facilitate seamless transactions. It is not a bank account and does not accrue interest. Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their account access. Ordvel is not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access due to user negligence.
Funds in Ordvel Pay can be used for any purchase across the marketplace and, where applicable, may be subject to withdrawal limits defined by your verification tier.
